How do you make this?

I am making a game and want to add this portal / teleport effect similar to the example below. But I don’t know how to make it.

I’ve tried teleporters with the particle effects from Toolbox and just deleted the teleport script, but the appearance just doesn’t look as good and I want something more similar to the ones below.

Any help and suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you for your time.

Beams I think. Their concept is basic but they have good customization properties.

There’s plenty of guides online, I only ever used beams for telling the player where he has to go. I don’t do vfx
