How do you reliably upload normal maps?

Hi. I have created several assets utilizing baked maps. About half the time I upload the images, specifically normal maps, they are removed by Roblox’s moderation.

Here’s what the rock is supposed to look like:

Here’s what it looks like in studio:

The entire SurfaceAppearance fails to load because the normal map is moderated.
The culprit:

My current solution is to modify the image by a single pixel and reupload until moderation arbitrarily decides that the image is good. This doesn’t work all the time, though.

Surely I’m doing something wrong, because every step of importing PBR textures to Roblox has been excruciating. Does anyone have any tips? How does one import maps to Roblox without them being removed? Any help is appreciated.

You could create a support ticked for that asset and itll be reviewed

I don’t understand how this stupid moderation system works, but I would try to upload Image from alt account or maybe make it little darker or lighter

The moderation algorithm probably thought this was an attempt to upload an image with blurry/obscured text. I’d recommend appealing instead of spam reuploading.

roblox wont even let me get the image published, and appealing content requires an asset ID, which i don’t have because the asset isn’t even being platformed. what’s my course of action?
