Currently, it seems most likely impossible to cash out Robux via DevEx through a fintech bank due to the IBAN matching requirements. I will update this post if I find a solution.
Old Post
Hi!
I’m looking to cash out Robux via DevEx through a fintech bank, but I’m facing issues with IBAN requirements. Many fintech banks (like N26 and Revolut) provide a single IBAN based on their main location (e.g., a German IBAN for N26), and Tipalti requires the IBAN to match my registered address.
I have already contacted Roblox support, but while I’m waiting I’d love to know if anyone has found a solution.
If you’ve successfully used a fintech bank for DevEx, any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Guess I’ll bump this post again. DevEx support hasn’t responded in 9 days regarding the question, so I will keep waiting, but has anyone successfully devexed to one of these banks and how?
Country itself doesn’t really matter but it is in the EU. According to EU law you should be able to use any EU IBAN to recieve payments, as long as it is in the SEPA zone. The issue is on Tipalti the IBAN must match the country of residence, and the fintech banks I use don’t hand those out. They instead give most customers a predefined IBAN number (for example a Lithuanian one for Revolut)
If you haven’t already, I suggest you take this matter up with the helpdesks of the banks you use. Not Roblox Support- this issue is far too technical for them and likely can not be fixed by them.
They only offer local IBANs to a select few countries (France and Spain, for example); the vast majority of countries are only issued an LT one (I don’t reside in either France or Spain).
Yes, I did contact the bank via email (they do not have physical helpdesks since it’s a fintech bank), but the response I got was that the IBAN should work because it’s in the SEPA zone. If the provider (Tipalti) does not accept that, then I should apparently file a complaint as it’s against this law. And I really don’t feel like doing that as if stuff is that complicated I might as well open a normal bank account.
I guess the only option I have is to wait for either DevEx support to allow me to input some kind of different address (so I can use the IBAN). I also contacted Tipalti support about it, as they are the ones managing the portal, but it is unlikely that they will change the way the portal works.
Going forward, this solution is probably best because filing a complaint against a foreign company like Tipaliti is going to get you nowhere in the foreseeable future.
