What are you working on right now?
Well I’m working on a little actually huge project but I was wondering if I could improve the gui
It looks like shit tbh but I was wondering if I could make improvements any
negative or positive feedback is okay as it might help me improve it
It doesn’t look that bad, it’s just that the background could possibly use a simple design that spices up the UI but doesn’t take the attention away from your items and points of focus. Also, please don’t curse, you may get in trouble with moderation even if this is a forum.
tried to edit to dog water but 404 error had to happen
wdym by simple design? i mean i could try brighter colors but that looks very ugly
something cool like a topograph design could suit the background nicely.
??? huh? i dont get that but I could try
Review
#1: Too bland.
#2: Coloring scheme is ok.
#3: Spacing is nice.
#4: not a square
#5: Font SUCKS.
#6: text color to light.
Solution
#1: Add image backgrounds.
#2: Nothing to fix.
#3: Nothing to fix again.
#4: Use UIAspectRatioConstraint
#5: Change the font to Gotham or something similar.
#6: Either make the background color dull or the text color dull to a point where we can still see. I recommend making the background color (47,147,87) ← nice color
why do squares look bad?
Also i dont about the font but I thought it looked good guess ill change it then
Why would I have to use UIAspectRatioConstraint?
And I can see the white in the equip button huh?
its too bright the equip button.
use UIAspectRatio so that you can make this
a square
Ahh i see now thx for the info also does the font rlly look that bad?
the weapons text isn’t the same font as the other texts for some reason which looks weird. and the search bar doesn’t have that smooth outline like everything else. looks good though
i know it looks like BS and I’m trying to find a good font but no good luck I guess
#1 - EQUIP BUTTON
It may be hard to see the button due to the colors being very similar. If you walk far away from the screen, you might barely notice any text. Also, the letters are slightly touching the bottom and it creates an asymmetric feeling. You can easily fix this by placing the text a bit higher.
#2 - UI CORNERS
You can see that some parts of the UI have curved corners, while others don’t. Because of this, everything looks inconsistent and messy. If I was you, I would add UI Corners to each label, keeping a professional impression.
#3 - FONTS
Similarly to the earlier point, you didn’t keep the consistency. Like others said, the item’s font, is different than the other fonts inside the inventory. Simply switch to one individual font for each text.
#4 - OUTLINES
This is also about inconsistency. You can clearly see that some elements have an outline and others don’t, which is also creating a sense of unprofessionalism, at least for me.
CONCLUSION
In general, it looks decent, with a few small mistakes. The inventory is simple and clear, really easy to understand. However, in my honest opinion, it looks kind of dull and lifeless. It would be a great addition to add things that stand out from other people’s UI (while also keeping it tidy and having colours that fit well).
Remember to keep the consistency, and hope this helped!
i don’t want to make everything corner ui corner but for some reason I only use different fonts because they look bigger and make it ugly af
under “equip” add a description of the knife + how to get it
for the background, add a line that seperates the search from the ui + adjustments
