How does my low poly tree look?

Made this in blender, took me about 10 minutes. Thoughts?

I mean it looks pretty good, but I don’t like how the shapes are so uneven. It doesn’t look good with the huge bottom leaf thing that is larger than the trunk.

Looks nice, I would have moved the top two segments a bit lower though

It’s just three cone’s with a cylinder it could be easily made in studio, it’s still a very nice tree though.

Apply some drawing-to-model technique that may improve it. Typically, the base cone is usually larger than the peak and goes even upwards.

Further depth of improvement is an extension of additional segments, and perhaps, some angling to the trees. The cones are extremely simple and you could turn them into sharper cones instead. You may add variation to the sides of the cones on the base.

The trunk can also be improved by a more “winched” appearance.

Look fairly bland, it looks like just a few cones. I’m not sure how this would take 10 minutes since it’s just scaling a cylinder in and merging the middle vertices together to make a cone and then duplicating them and moving them up. The top 2 shapes/meshes should be smaller than the bottom. If you want to make it more detailed, apply a couple loop cuts on the cones and use proportional editing to add imperfections. Add about 6 or so loop cuts to the trunk and use proportional editing and make the trunk thinner and thinner to the top.

This is my first time using blender. I know that’s not an excuse, but it’s true. Anyways, thanks for the advice, i’ll try to make the tree look better.

Notice how my tree’s leafs are more unique and the stem is more dynamic? That’s what it should look like

This is great. I like the colors of it, although there is room for improvement.

First off, I’d suggest using a 6-8 vertices cone because that cylinder is basically mid-poly. Secondly, I think you should vary the height of the different leaves. What I mean by that is dragging some vertices higher and lower to give it more variety.

Secondly, the scale/positioning of each of the leaves is weird because you should have the top cylinder be smaller than the second to top one.

Also, the trunk is a bit basic, and you could maybe add some more details by extruding the trunk down and scaling the extruded area larger.

I think he’s basing his off of those low poly tree made of cones/cylinders rather than that type.

I think it looks good for a low poly tree, but I would say please resize the leaves. It looks great though.

When doing low poly, think of polygons as a resource. The bigger the object, the more polygons. Also, when doing modeling, use reference images so that you can make more believable scenes.

It looks pretty cool ngl…
However there a bit of things u can improve on this tree. Heres my take on this tree’s recreation:

U can add a loop cut (CTRL+R) in the upper cones (or in my way, a cylinder with top face scaled to a point) and scale the loopcut a bit down to give it a cooler look.
and just rotating the upper parts a bit will give it a much better feel…
