The screenshots that are in this topic look a lot like jailbreak. Im not downgrading your work, or saying that you copied it. It looks like you put a lot of time into this, and it doesn’t look bad at all. But it very much looks like jailbreak. The roads look the same, overall buildings look the same, terrain looks the same, color scheme is the same.

Yes, it is very hard to make something totally unique, as a lot of things have been done already. But you shouldn’t fight the absolute fact that it LOOKS LIKE JAILBREAK.

P.S. If we dig deep enough, most likely Jailbreak itself looks like something else, but jailbreak is the famous one, that’s why it’s the comparative point.

Yes, very much so. However I don’t recommend you completely redo it, it would take tons of time and be totally unnecessary. If your game design (main game mechanics) is good, it won’t fail just because it looks like Jailbreak.

You could try to play with lighting, to make it look a bit different.

There’s the Cyberpunk Tokyo lighting but I wouldn’t suggest that, even though it looks really cool. OG could scout some other ones!

I really don’t think it looks like jailbreak at all. If I did what to make it more unique what would I change?

The map looks fire it’s just that I feel like you should add more original stuff and also work on the lighting. Lighting has a big role when it comes to map making. If you change up the lighting and also change add a much more original look it will look great!

Okay so, I would rate this a 7.5/10 in total, here are my ratings:

Uniqueness
I would say it’s a 9/10 for uniqueness, some buildings look a bit like JailBreak

Graphics Quality
I would say it’s a 5.5/10 for Graphics Quality
It’s a bit too bright for my eyes, maybe adjust the brightness a bit.

Overall I still think your city looks great, I’d love to see what it looks like in the future!

You might have wrote them in the wrong order cause the graphics is just semi-vivd low-poly, which honestly isn’t bad!

Thanks, he might be right though. Although the graphics look good, it may be too bright.

  1. Could cause lag
  2. Could make it harder to focus on things for example, shooting.

Yes my team and I plan to release game to public sometime between February and March of next year. I don’t know why you would expect bugs but yes, ofc there are a few bugs at the moment.

Yes the city is anchored. I wouldn’t call that a bug if it wasn’t anyways.

Can you tell me exactly why you think that? Also, Jailbreak is still in Chapter 1 technically.

i mean like some part of the redesign kinda looks like jailbreak’s like example
the remade bank one even tho it doesnt have any thing in common but when i saw it jailbreak casino just popped up into my mind (keep this in mind this is only my mind)
