Roblox’s ban API has the capability to ban a player’s alt accounts, but how does this work? Does the API ban all accounts on a certain IP or all accounts on a single device? I have tested the alt ban detection, and it does work, but I haven’t gone as far as using another IP or two devices.

IP and device bans are common for large companies moderation strategies and it would be no surprise if Roblox did that too.

I’ll do some testing with a game and tell you what i get 
No it doesn’t I banned my alt trough my main who banned is on same device etc but it doesn’t ban alts
The Alt Account detection is either when another account shares the same IP address as your main account or your alt account being linked to your main account(with the Switch Accounts feature). Your alt account can be undetected really easily as of January 2025. Roblox detecting alt accounts isn’t that good yet.
