Hey I pre released a game and I was wondering how y’all like the style of the game (don’t worry things like skip stage, credits section, and more on the obby will be in the game however this is a very early version of it). Heres the game link 2D Obby! (1 day demo) - Roblox
Where is the game? Sending pictures as well as links to your game is very helpful to commenters.
Yeah sorry I forgot to add the link but I just added it.
a 2d obby is honestly a really cool concept, i like it
Thanks! I was thinking of what obbys haven’t been made very much.
The concept to a 2d obby is pretty interesting, but the only problem with this, is you can’t make advanced stages like the typical line curve, so you should be kinda creative with that.
also here’s some things that you can add.
*a sound when you touch a checkpoint
*background music
Yes agreed. Thanks for the feedback! I will probably add both those things
I Tried Out The Game And Really Liked The Concept But There Is A Few Things That I Would Like To Be In The Game The First Thing Is That U Should Be Able Also Move With The Arrow Keys Since I Know A Lot Of People Who Like Using Them For 2d Games, A Shorter Respawn Time Would Be Nice Since. Like @troolvo Mentioned I Would Also Like Checkpoint Sound And Backround Music. Thats All I Can Think Of Atm. Have A Good Day/Night!
Kinda boring but its ok its a very early state so idk
Assuming that this is not the intended behavior, I am able to move on the Z axis when using arrow keys, but not while using WASD.
Hey, I tested your game for a review.
Positives
-
I like the idea of a 2D Obby- I made one myself. You don’t see 2D games very often on Roblox, so this is a nice change of pace.
-
I like how the difficulties match the actual skill level of a stage.
-
The game looks good overall. You have good colors, level design, and a simple style which I like.
Negatives
- I feel like the last few parts of the ‘Easy’ stage could be toned down a little bit, since they match the first part of ‘Decent’.
Bugs and Errors
-
The ‘lava’ parts don’t actually hurt you at the moment.
-
As @joeldes mentioned, you can move forward and backward using the arrow keys.
For a demo, this is pretty good! I wish you luck on your game.
You should probably turning the avatar type to R6 since R15 has ludicrous hit detection that allows you to jump on a series of kill blocks without dying
Thanks for taking your time to write a long review this will help a lot!
