How early should I be building hype for my game for it to be effective?

So I know building hype for a game before release is key for it to perform well, at least at the start anyway. But since im only lets say 1/3 of the way finished I don’t think its right to start posting stuff to the internet just yet. What do you guys think and how early should I do it so people actually remember to play the game when its released.

if something is not programmed or functional just fake it for the video, i used to have some keybinds to make something happen in game, kinda like a console, everything was staged just for the video. Better doing this than wasting time developing a doa game that nobody cares for

now, as fast as possible, don’t waste time, see if people is interested in the concept of your game

What type of videos should I upload, like a funny one or showcasing features or trailers etc? and where

a gameplay of the game, make the video feel like the game is finished and playable and see how much support you get, add your socials, they will follow if they are interested, an investor might also contact you if he sees potential
