I’m developing an RPG-Alike game, and I want to make monsters actually do things, besides being simple, such as taking damage when touching let’s say a wolf, would it be appropriate if I were to make it so Wolves would be able to rip apart limbs? The detached limbs would of course disappear, and no blood trace will be created, to reduce the more obvious “gory part” of it, but I’m already doubtful about the concept of Wolves ripping your limbs apart in the first place.
TLDR;
Is it appropriate for mobs to be capable of ripping your limbs apart as long it doesn’t have any “blood effects”?
I think back to the LEGO Star Wars games where Chewbacca has the ability to rip off enemies’ arms as an attack.
It’s played out comically rather than horrifically, and without any blood or viscera. As a kid’s game, I would consider this the safest way to portray it.
For me, it is not gore until it gets to the point where you can see large quantities of blood, exposed flesh, horror, etc. If you are intending to make it a kids game, I would keep it as clean as possible. If you are going for a more gory look, you may want to add more blood, etc. However I would be careful as I don’t know how much gore Roblox will tolerate.
The thing is though the game is mostly based around Skyrim so giving it a “cartoonish touch” with something of such goofiness would look out of place, if I was making a game with more of a low poly/cartoon touch, then I wouldn’t really be here, but I’ll see what I can do.
I feel like as much blood and gore as the neighborhood war and russian roulete(one of them) might get your game get taken down i feel like a short amount of blood would be good
Yeah, I might just go with a “simple way” and just make the respective limbs disappear once they have “been detached” without leaving any trace of it, better safe than sorry.
