How get sharp edges or make a basement with terrain editor?

I’m making a building with a basement but I’m woking with terrain editor. If i select a square with terrain editor and then delete the terrain, I get e gap on the outside of the building.

I have tryed doing it with scripting but that did exactly the same. If I use drawing to add terrain the terrain gets inside the basement.

So does anyone has a fix for this?

do terrain all around the building then create a part inside of the building then use the plugin part to terrain to replace it with air

^ could work or just try unchecking ignore parts if its checked : / but yeah the other suggestion sounds better.

The plugin doesn’t show up in my plugins so it doesn’t work.

That works exactly the same unfortunately

Well do you have it? And do you have it enabled?

If you got it from the market on the web try instead to get it from the toolbox while you’re actually in a baseplate.

Terrain never gives sharp edges. It used to years ago when you placed the voxels with the original Terrain.

Your choices:

  • use thicker walls on your basement so the curve is hidden in the wall.
  • use Parts with the same Material as the Terrain. You’ll have to use the Color wheel to fine tune the colour. It won’t look exactly the same, but you may be able to hide it a bit by only using the Parts up to the edge of the paved area.
  • use the Edit Sculpt tool with the Strength set to about .2 and the Brush Size set to 1. It’ll be a pain and won’t be perfect, but it can get you close.

@FroDev1002 do you mean the Studio Terrain Editor Paint tool with the Replace Material Mode? You shouldn’t need a plugin for this.
