Do you guys like this game icon I made? Is there any way I can make this better or improve myself in the future?
Pretty nice, I like that! I wish you continued success.
Thank you very much ! I appreciate that!
Keep improving yourself, Iâm sure youâll be a good designer.
use instead of an R15 model the R6 and subdevide the Limbs, then just move/rotate them into place, aswell use denoising with cycles render.
Okay, I will do that in my future GFX designs. Thank you for the tip!
In my opinion this Dosent fit in well,
Maybe remove it? Or put it on letters? Your choice
Looks amazing. I like it
I dont think there is anything to add to it or change,
Looks nice, especially the render. One thing that bothers me is the text. Iâm not sure how you could make it better because Iâm not a designer but you should probably start by putting it in a meaningful place instead of just randomly in the âmiddley-topâ of the icon. However, really love the render!
Edit: Looks like thereâs quite a bit of noise still on the render?
I feel as if one of the letters in âGunâ couldâve had a more creative design to it. For ex: converting the u into a minigun shooting bullets.
âScriptâ âs color scheme couldâve been experimented with. LUAâs main colors are white, blue so a gradient effect mightâve made it pop more.
The character himself is not bad. Though you should really use an R6 rig in blender cycles. Also the character has a lot of noise on the surface. Try to reduce it a little. As for the font you used, it looks kinda plain. If you have Illustrator you should offset its path and give it some more fun details. But the icon is decent, with those things fixed it should look good.
My feedback:
- Good feedback:
I like it. To me, it is quite appealing to the eye.
The fire and the letter âGâ personally juxtaposed effectively.
- Improvements:
Is there perhaps too much noise?
But apart from that, I like it!
The icon looks great all in all in my opinion. However, to improve it, I feel that the text could pop out a bit more. The borders of the text (especially in âScriptsâ), seems to kind of blend into the background a bit. I also think an R6 character wouldâve made for a cleaner render than the R15 character.
All in all
Great job. Even though thereâre some areas to improve Iâd give it a 9/10.
All do respect. Though this doesnât look like a GFX⌠To me it looks like itâs from Roblox studio. And you posed the character how you wanted it to be and added a minigun with it. Then exported to Blender and just rendered with a PNG background.
You should try to learn to use the tools in blender. So it would be less obvious!
Example of one of mine:
(You canât see the R15 character parts).
Overall looks nice, just get rid of R15.
In your opinion, would it be better to model with R6 or R15?
Good graphics but there is a lot of noise on it. Try to reconfigure your lighting
Thank you everyone for the tips! I will definitely improve myself thank to your advice!
What are you specifically looking for to improve? Or is it just overall design? Maybe, you can try to provide us a theme, choices of colours, or style of the game, so we can base our feedback from the information given.
I believe that text will be your game name, and the font looks interesting. In my opinion, the pink-reddish shadow could be changed to other colours because it blends too much with the background and itâs good to show some contrast for the text. You can also see if your font is large enough to be noticeable by players. The character holding the gun looks cool to me, I like that fire on his hat. Make sure you leave an impression for the potential players that can draw them back to your game.
Also try to upload the game icon and see for yourself. Ask yourself for a few simple things.
- Would a potential player be interested that much to click on my game icon?
- How attractive is my game icon?
- Does this game icon expresses any parts of my game?

Good luck designing!
Love it but it looks like your about to learn how to script a gun!
I feel an easy and quick improvement would be to line up the text, opposed to having âGunâ further to the left. This will get rid of the cramped look around the characterâs head and just help the entire icon look cleaner imo.
