Hey, so my game somehow earned 9 robux may 1st (in Australia) through premium payouts at 5:01am (again, Australian time) and right now it is may 3rd 9:38 am. does the pending robux take longer? or am I mistaken here?

I believe that it takes 3 days, like all other purchases that get processed. You should wait one or two more days and see.
It’s been 3 days already, so I will wait a few more hours.
There is a 28 day delay on premium payouts, according to Roblox’s Premium Payout FAQs page.

so if your robux is already pending it takes 28 more days?
I believe that is correct, however, the wording on that page is sort of vague.

I am pretty sure that premium payouts to get into PENDING takes 28 days and the pending robux to actually show up in your balance is 3 days. this is very annoying.

From what I know, the 28 day delay comes first. Then there will be an additional 3 days of it being pending robux. This makes a total of 31 days.
Also premium payouts amounts are subject to change depending on the premium user game playing time. From what I know there is some “pool” of premium player robux (per player) let’s say they play your game at the beginning of the month once for 40 minutes, but never comes back and grinds another game. That could mean you could lose premium payout profit. No actual numbers are given to us
