How many players could a ROBLOX server theoretically support without extreme lag if you could bypass player limits?

Would an MMO game work with hundreds of players in a server at once? Or just something like 150?

I’m aware that a ROBLOX admin made a game with a 10,000 player limit, but I don’t think that ever reached 10,000 concurrent players.

There was an experiment with MessagingService last year that tested the capabilities of something like this:

Although not everyone was in the same server, it created the effect that being so. It was possible to get 300+ players together with filtering.
