1000 robux to sponsor the game is a preety low number, i once did that and it only reached a few clicks, specially if you have other competitors which is the case of SCP. Just depends too on if people would find your Ad interesting.
From what I’ve seen, the idea is classic in the end. One thing I would add is gamepasses and things you need money or time for, so others can “opt” for something in game. It would add engagement and purpose.
First of all, money is important, but the premise is that you need to ensure that your icon has a qualified click-through rate, which should reach at least 2.5% of the click-through rate you can invest in advertising, if less than this click-through rate, more advertising is afraid of losing money.
As for the price of advertising, 10000robux is what I recommend, which may be a bit high, but for a new game, about 1000-3000 new players are necessary
if wanted ill be glad to maybe do a video on it to try and help get the game out there on yt im a small content creator and it will help us both grow and get your game seen some more. and no i dont want anything in return i feel like smaller games needs a chance to be able to be seen too and not just the big games as a small dev i feel like its atleast something i can do to help other smaller creators to be seen and have some of the spotlight to help support those smaller creators
I understand this is the solution but it goes a bit further than this. Here are some tips to consider.
Audience & Testing
Your audience will affect the price. Different platforms in particular have drastically different impression and CTR rates. What I recommend is spending 10-100 Robux just to see what these numbers are. If you get good numbers on a particular configuration, go all-in on it. If not, then you need to consider changing your icon, game design, etc.
Full-Spend Sponsor
It is not your goal to get clicks or impressions per se, but rather, a low cost per play. You know you are profiting from sponsors if your cost per play is below one. Keep this in mind when running sponsors because if at any time you are getting a high cost per play, you need to cancel the sponsorship.
^ This is the truth. The sponsorship market is extremely competitive and saturated.
Assuming you have a good cost per click and cost per play, you can make the most profit on a small scale by running a bid for 3k-10k minimum Robux per day for 15-28 days. Spreading out your spending will increase your click-through and attributed play rate and decrease your cost per play.
The Time & Day Affects Price
You can see trends for ad values on Rolimons to determine the best time(s) to run a bid. While it doesn’t show sponsors, you can derive a good time and day based on the correlations between different ad types.
Always target your bid for the times in which the impressions per Robux increases. Do not target your bids for the “peak” of impression value as it will decrease shortly after.
Alternatives
Sponsors are not the greatest. Use TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and X to promote your games and you will find much more success because of their powerful algorithms. Enough said.
