So I have been making weekly or once every 3 days updates but I have to reset servers to update which can annoy players. I don’t want to rarely make updates either. What is an appropriate time between updates?

I suggest making updates every week.

When you first release a game try to have 2 updates prepared and drop them 2-3 days separated after Advertising is over. Then after that go weekly.

That would depend on the amount of player or the relevance of the feature the update is based on.
You could try making a poll or asking your community for further advice :)!

I would suggest making weekly updates. Take Jailbreak as an example.

I suggest alerting your players that an update will occur other than restarting the server with no information.
