I have began thinking about a game idea where the player has a sort of adventure where they can explore a vast map and possibly do tasks at the same time. I am not sure if this would work or not please give me feedback!
General question: Are adventure games a good idea?
Ya it might be, but it should be exciting so players will keep playing. And you should add new updates to keep the game up.

makign a adventure game is a really good idea, i mean you remember adventure forward paper roblox and elements of robloxia right? these game were really good and got a lot of atention and got into the front page back then

I would personally like to play a game like that. Just make sure the builds are high-quality and the quests/tasks aren’t grindy; but instead, fun to play.
To be honest adventure games are not popular, I can not find 1 real adventure game on the front page, most of the roblox users these days really like adopt me because its super replayable, always new pets, houses and money people grind for. A front page adventure game would need multiple people making lots of updates, if not the game will fail. For example robot 64 is honestly an amazing adventure game consisting nintendo 64 movements, the thing is that they don’t have too much updates and they are loosing lots of players because of it. Please don’t make this mistake.
