How realistic do you think vehicle performance/handling should be for a city RP game?

Hi, i am creating a somewhat realistic city roleplay game, and i am trying to decide how lifelike the handing should be, though I’m split between having it be a bit arcade-y where all the cars handle the same and don’t lean when going around corners, or if i should have each car have model-specific handling.

I feel if i put realistic handling/performance it may alienate a younger audience, but if I do arcade handling it may alienate/drive away the audience that wants more realistic vehicle physics.

What is your opinion on this? And how should the realistic handling be, if you think realistic would be better?

For instance, realistic handling i plan for the cars to handle like the ones in GTA IV, Mafia II, or BeamNG.Drive for instance, or at least try to get close to it.

If you want somewhat realistic, then go somewhat realistic.
Something not entirely basic, close to how you want it, but simplified to make it easier for more players.
If needed dedicate some time to a tutorial or practice area.

Though I’d say that if the vehicle experience is more detrimental to the roleplay than it contributes then change it as needed.
Personally I’d have easy vehicle handling in a game that focuses on the roleplay, because the fun is done by interacting with other players rather than learning to get around.
