How should I go about making a Vision Cone?

Darkwoods has a pretty good example of what vision code I want to recreate, and I have a general idea ((which is just raycasting and position attachments accordingly??? idk how well this method would actually work)) on how I could achieve it but my main question is…

How could I make it so everything out of sight, or behind furniture gets darkened?
