How should I monetize my story game?

I am currently working on a story game and i still have a lot to go. One thing i was wondering about is," How do i monetize this without ruining the scare aspect?". I started Roblox Studio in 2018 so i am still learning a little. I though of a few options that i think would be best to take.

  1. I make a demo level then you have to buy a gamepass to finish
  2. I sell a DLC version as a gamepass in the shop/lobby.
  3. I have multiple developer products that players can buy
  4. I don’t monetize at all

That is what i thought of. Please tell me if you think about a better choice for the story game or if i should do one of the options i though of.

Personally I’d say that you shouldn’t be thinking about monetisation is this stage of development. Monetisation can only happen if people actually play your game in the first place, so I would say that you should focus your efforts on completing your story game.

Once the game is nearly completed to a satisfactory standard, I think it would be right to think about what elements of the game could be enhanced by providing products.

Probably not what you wanted to hear, but worth taking into account anyway. Someone else may provide a better answer.

Alright, yeah i was thinking about later on. Good suggestion still though. I should worry about the gameplay aspect itself more.
