How should I properly light up an area

I am awfully new at building but I don’t know much about lighting up a large area. I tried using point lights on certain things but it just felt unnatural.

Here is what the area looks like:

The ground looks very unnatural.

Thanks a lot if you could help!

Turn on future lighting, make a basic hanging light model, and place it in areas where light needs to be

Stick the sun on top of the build and change the transparency of the glass until the light flows in.

How do u move the sun? Do u do it my changing the time of day?

Yes that is one way to do it; for a build such as this, the best time of day would be 12:00 (that way the sun would be directly above the build, providing the most natural light).

What lighting technology is being used here? ShadowMap would be the best to use here, or Future lighting if you’re not too worried about performance and the kind of oddly perfect circles that it can create. Adding onto another comment here that said to increase transparency of the glass, if you don’t want to do this you can toggle the CastShadow property on the parts (as shown below) and they will behave mostly the same.

I also noticed you have some neon parts in-game, you could put some PointLights on these with a low brightness to add more to the lighting.

There’s a plugin for this! Search up “sun”. I don’t have it, but I’ve heard about it.

Idk if this works but does it work when you:

Add an invisible part with the point light and move it a bit down from the light source that you created. Sorry, I’m very bad at explaining.

I found the trick from a Roblox YouTube channel called ‘Model Creator’ but I can’t find a source for it.

can everyone please stop pinging me on this old topic 0-0
