Hi there. I recently played a pretty cookie cutter horror game called “Eyeless Jack” with a friend. I thought the stylistic choices were actually quite unique and wanted to implement something similar in my game.

looking closely, you can see the lighting for this game is pretty fancy. Shadows stop abruptly and it resembles something close to Buckshot Roulette, or a toon shader.
How was this achieved aside from clever texturing if that’s not all it is? I’ve seen this done a couple times but I haven’t found how to do it myself.
