How to allow only Desktop to join my game? And advertisement somehow advertises to mobile when for only Desktop

I’m trying to make it so that my game is only Desktop users.

I selected only Desktop in Audience > Access Settings, but for some reason there are mobile players.

I tried finding any tutorial but it isnt helping.

I also advertised for only Desktop, sponsored ad, and it for some reason showed up to a tablet user…

Thanks for responding

Go to your games page in the creater hub and go to Audience → Access Settings

Then select Desktop:

For your second question I think you can just set the device to mobile for the advertisement as well? Can’t say much.

I did exactly that, and I made the sponsored advertisement only for Desktop, yet I’m getting mobile users left and right from the ad

Oh wait I understood it wrong. Maybe try setting advertisement mode to desktop only? If it’s a feature still. I can’t help you in that much as I don’t use the ad manager myself…

well it’s allowing mobile players to join AND advertising to mobile. I’ll just have to wait and see, thanks for trying to help though

Yo, when creating an AD, Make sure your experience is chosen for “desktop only”

I triple checked…

Idk why it’s acting up lol

Did you make your game desktop only?

I did, so I have no idea why it’s breaking

thats odd… how can you tell if a user isn’t on PC?

(note that the list here limits devices to computers(laptops included) some may be touchscreen)

What if you used UserInputService | Documentation - Roblox Creator Hub to (politely) kick anyone who isn’t on pc

Well that would ruin the point of the ads right?

One person that joined was on mobile, and I could tell by the like to dislike ratio too

what do you mean? Isn’t the point of the ads to get your game out there? Isnt it for… advertisements? Yeah it was only supposed to go to PC users but I guess that’s not working as intended so you can try to find a workaround for now.

What does the like to dislike ratio have to do with what device they’re using???

There are more dislikes because this game doesn’t work for mobile, and was never for mobile, and mobile players that can’t even play just dislike the game, and it’s all a technical issue from roblox allowing mobile players after I clearly made the game for ONLY Desktop.

There’s really no workaround besides roblox fixing the system, because I made sure it was only for Desktop, both the advertisement and the actual game. I’m probably going to request a refund.

I could obviously tell it was allowing mobile players because all of the mobile issues were happening in real time to a player that said they were on mobile.

Thanks for trying to help though, but I might have to contact Roblox Support if it doesn’t get fixed

Oh ok

Are you sure you can’t check the player’s device with a script and send them a message that the game isn’t for them? (also explaining the situation to decrease the dislikes?) The userImputService seems to be able to check the player’s device.

I don’t see the point of wasting robux on ads just to tell the player to leave.

I’ll try my best to fix it I guess
