How to appeal to the right audience

In short, I’m developing a story-based MMORPG based on Legend of Zelda; and want to find the right way to appeal to the majority of the audience on ROBLOX. I’ve noticed that MMORPG’s isn’t the most popular of genres on ROBLOX, the most popular being World Zero as of now. But even then, I’ve also noticed some very well made games also don’t make it to the front page, when very simple scripted games (Eg. Simulators) do. This brings me to the topic: What criteria should I be looking at when creating my game?

Criteria I’ve been wanting to take into consideration are (Only ones I can think of atm):

UI Design - Should the UI have a more cartoonish bubbly look? Or a more modern simplistic look?
Simplicity - Should the game be very easy to pick up and play?
World Design - Is it better to focus on hyper-realistic, or bright cartoonish low-poly builds?
Captivation - Is the game captivating for the audience? How would you go about making it more captivating?

Obviously, these points are to be taken into consideration based on the age of the audience you’re looking at. But in my case, since I want my game to encourage as many players to play, it would focus on the main demographic on ROBLOX of ages around 9-12. So with that in mind, what criteria do you think I should focus on from an MMORPG standpoint?

UI Design and World Design: Copy what others in the genre are doing style-wise (or mimic the UI of the game it’s based on). If it diverges too much from the norm, players won’t even know what kind of game it is.
Simplicity: Plug and play is my person preference, and the preference of everyone I know, but on the other hand it’s possible to succeed with absurdly complicated games, so maybe it doesn’t matter that much.
Captivation: Don’t know how this would play out with that demographic. However, if you make something that strongly resembles Breath of the Wild that makes people think “Wow, this is just like Breath of the Wild”, that would be a major selling point. I say BoTW in particular as that is the most relevant LoZ at this time. Brand recognition is overwhelmingly powerful. Otherwise poorly made, low quality games can rise above the rest because they have naruto (or other well-known character) in the icon. And if it’s well-made, then all the better.
