Hello, my name is Kevblx, and I have watched a few tutorials, and read a few devforum’s on how to bake textures, and map things so that I can import my mesh into Roblox with it’s texture, what I am trying to do is make one map with both of the textures on to it since the pole and sign are separate parts, and then like i’ve been told export the mesh as an obj, and then the texture as a image, but I am unaware how to properly bake both textures into one map. Any help would be appreciated. Images of the stop sign below.
You first need to join all the meshes into one mesh by selecting both and then pressing ctrl+j. Then both would share the same uv map, just make sure to check the uv map to make sure they are how you need them to be. Later you can separate both meshes if you want them to be their own separate meshes by going into edit mode selecting one of the meshes and pressing p then selecting “Selection.” This would allow you to use the same texture for both meshes in roblox studio and they would still be mapped correctly, but for something as simple as a sign and pole, i would suggest just keeping it as a single mesh instead of separating it.
