Hello!
I am currently using blender for my models and I have no idea how to texture objects I am so used to importing and coloring in Roblox studio that it’s become a habit.
I would like to know how to texture in blender (so my life will be much easier)
anything will help it also needs to be blender 2.8
(I don’t know what topic I should put it in so it’s going in this one)
It’s sort of hard to explain as navigating around blender could be difficult. But textures are usually done with image texture. Here’s a link for a tutorial on how to texture: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eiDrRa6JvQ0
You have a few options when it comes to texturing on Roblox, with the main two being Vertex Painting or UV Texturing
Vertex Painting or Mesh Painting is affects vertex attributes of the actual model. Note that this is rather limited and usually reserved for models that require flat colors. If you’re looking for more in depth textures; use UV Texturing or Image Texturing. This involves UV Unwrapping your model and projecting an image using said UV map.
Consider these methods when it comes to coloring your models. Hope this helps!
[Note: If you decide to use Vertex Painting, the colors will only import as a .fbx]
[Note: Roblox only supports up to 1024x1024 pixels for images.]
