How to colour specific triangles/faces of a mesh instead of splitting each face into a seperate mesh

I got this mesh here with many pixels for RGB display:

how can I effectively colour each pixel without making an object for every pixel, Surface UI is apparently slow for something im trying + in this case i have to try with the brick colour

Go into edit mode and box select the faces you want to change the color. The. Press p and select the selection tab. Go to back to object mode and convert to a mesh.

the RGB colours of the pixels are meant to be edited by a script
