What are cat eyes?
Cat eyes are used to line the side of highways and rural roads, as a replacement for street lights. They are a cheap solution to night lighting issues and work by reflecting light from vehicle headlights back to drivers.
How to make a cat eye in Roblox?
Making a cat eye is very simple, and only takes a few steps!
First of all, create a part. Then create a surfacegui with a frame inside it, setting the size of the frame to {1, 0}, {1, 0}. Set the background colour of the frame to the color you want the cats eye to be, ie 255,0,0 for a red cat eye.
Once you’ve created and configured the frame, you will need to change the LightIntensity property of the SurfaceGui. It is recommended that you change this to a value between 0.98 and 1.68, this property will change how bright the surface gui is during the dark.
This is how your cat eye should appear, I have the LightIntensity set to 1.69, currently it is somewhat visible but still dark.
When a light goes over your cat eye, it should then look like this
Please note, that these will be visible on the road during the day, so it’s recommended you use a script to disable the surface gui during day time.
