I have recently been wondering how I would create a custom particle emitting texture because currently when you have a particle emitter to lets say a brick it asks you to reference a texture made on roblox. I was wondering how it is possible to create your own particle emitting texture. For example, if I was making auras I could simply attach the particle emitter to the part of the body that I want it to be part of so I would now need a texture for the particle emitter to “emit”.
I don’t really know what you mean, but you can use any image that’s uploaded to Roblox as a texture for Particle Emitters, including the images you upload to Roblox yourself.
So just upload an image and use that image for the Particle Emitter.
If you mean something else, please clarify
I understand what you mean now, however, when I am making my own particles in Paint or Paint3d then I can never create the particles into just the shape because the canvas shows up as well. Do you know how I could fix this?
Many painting apps have transparency tool or layer setting, usually represented with a white and light grey checker pattern. You need to make your background transparent.
In the example below, everything except the red burst would be transparent for the particle.
Use custom decals (a.k.a. the particles) using paint.net or other programs. It shall help.
But the decal must have transparency background.
what painting app are you using in this picture?
