I have modelled a river bed, and have grass that goes into dirt.
However, this looks hideous. So I’ve exported the top level of dirt into Blender, and am trying to figure out how I can create a smooth transition where the top is grass, the bottom is dirt and it smoothly transitions from one to the other, similar to this
So I’ve got this segment in blender. The top rectangle is the face that needs texturing (ignore rest of polygon)
It has the dirt as the base texture (as imported from Roblox) but I can’t figure out how to make a smooth transition
Any help is greatly appreciated or if there’s video guides
you could have 3 textures and three parts. One for dirt one for grass and one for when they interact.
Good suggestion.
To overcome Z-index fighting and the images doing that blurry jitter thing, would you suggest making each parts image Z index higher as you go up in the levels of overlay, and also slightly making each part higher?
If so, on the part being higher, what value bigger would you suggestion? Like a .05 more or?
the image parts would probably all have collision off and another part would be the floor with trans set to 1 and collision on…
mess around and find out what works best for your project
you could do the thing with the Z-index but if the parts don’t overlap, that shouldn’t be a problem, right?
