How to create some special mesh/fade mesh?

well, i have seen some picture about cool mesh from some pro, but they are not teaching me how so im here to ask.

like this one, he said its neon and with “Blender alpha erase”?
i wonder how to do it and how they discover that they can do this :disappointed:

Also… what’s the difference between this and a mesh with a semitransparent surface appearance?

Could you also provide the source of the image? Maybe someone else’s could understand better what this pro was saying.

well i just asked for how he make lights in Pressure and he just gave me pic and said “blender alpha erase” and i figured it out myself, just google “transparent gradient material in blender”
now my problem is export it wont bring the effect to my obj…

and well, i cant make it with roblox studio…

GUYS GUYS GUYS I DID IT, I FINALLY DID IT, I FIGURED IT OUT WHEN I DO SOME PLANT MODEL IMPORTING


SO I JUST REALIZE I CAN MAKE IT WITH PHOTOSHOP


HERE IS HOW DO IT,


MAKE A PNG WITH MASK

WELD THE ALPHA TO THE BOTTOM ALPHA
CHANGE SETTING TO ALPHA BLEND
AND EXPORT, SET TRANSPARENCY TO ATLEAST MORE THAN 0

by the way i havent figure out how make it neon material yet,
cause if mesh have texture material wont work, only thing i can do is add light make the mesh shiny

GUYS, GUYS, I FOUND BETTER WAY TO MAKE THAT

VERTEX COLOR WONT COUNT AS A TEXTURE,
AND AS WHAT I SAID, TRANSPARENCY MORE THAN 0 TO WORK
AND SET MATERIAL TO ANYTHING
