A tone detector would still fall into the same issue with my script where it would flag sentenced which are negative towards something other than furries. For example
- Furries are cool but I really, really hate pineaple
Would get flagged because it detects âreally, really hate pineapleâ as negative.
The only way I can really solve the issue is to check if text nex to furry or after furry is negative. so the script finds the word furry then checks if it says âhateâ or something before it
You were wrong in making that assumption.
while i donât think we should be altering(adding on to or removing from) robloxâs censoring system, you canât deny that this censoring of text is NOT a violation of your rights nor is it illegal. Roblox, and the game itself, is not a government organization so it can censor you as much as it wants.

Although this is a tutorial is intended to censor stuff, But this is mainly my opinion about the censoring the âfurryâ part:
âfurries are badâ is neither a correct, nor incorrect statement.
It can be both true and false.

that wouldnt stop them from continuing to insult you. Its not a one and done deal. You can ignore them all you want but its still being directed towards you and they wont stop. Its not that people get easily offended but that people donât like to be spammed with toxic messages. You can say âbrutually failâ but you probably in reality would just argue with them and be condescending. Its just like annoying bruh and I donât see why censoring those messages is bad. I personally just roast them and donât really engage too much so you could say they brutually fail but like I said its annoying
I wouldnât even respond. Responding to an angry 7 year old is an extremely stupid. Plus /mute username or the block feature exists, this is why there are privacy settings.
/mute exists but isnt it easier to just get rid of the root of the problem by censoring the messages entirely. Especially since its not just a single âangry 7 year oldâ but like 4 different people per server you join. The way people treat you can be compared to racism. Imagine if people said negative things based on the skin color you chose for your avatar. Like yes you are able to change it by why cant you freely chose your avatar without being constantly harasssed by random idiots. You just get harassed for your appearance and not even the way you act. Just you existing is a reason to hate you. And you could say for racism also you can just use /mute but why not just censor the messages??

This stupid take to censor will always backfire and will make the so-called bully act even worse. Censorship has this reverse effect that makes people actually act in certain ways towards the said thing meant to be protected that they otherwise would not. It is in the nature of humans to feel free and have the liberty to express. When they feel that being attacked, they will rebel. Just look at the comments - you have already sparked this in a few people. You cannot cut a manâs tongue - thatâs the lesson. It does not prove you are right, he just canât speak.
Shielding is a bad way to deal with situations. Shielding yourself makes you vulnerable and it only gets worse. Every time you see a crack in that shield, you panic - never having the opportunity to deal up front with that pain makes you never accommodate it. So every time you get the sensation that it is coming, it gets worse for you. Anxiety grows and grows. Simple words should not affect anyone, but when they are constantly surrounded by shields - you get this. Not even able to take the sentence âI hate furriesâ.
