How to deform a mesh with bones with parts


Here is a train passage accordion with two bones.
I am trying to make the accordion stretch and contract by welding parts to these two bones and pulling, but even with RigidConstraint it is completely welded and cannot be stretched.
Where did I go wrong in my method?

I think using animations is the only way as of now to interact with bones

And you will need to set up the armature in an external program like blender
