Sorry if this seems like a dumb question but I’ve seen people embed webm’s in their replies and I’m not entirely sure how to do it. I’ve tried posting an imgur link but it doesn’t show up as a webm it shows up as a link. I can’t upload one here either because it’s not supported so how exactly do I do it?

It should embed if you paste a link to it on its own line.
When I post the link, this happens:
You need to right click > Copy Video Address and paste that rather than the Imgur webpage link.
It seems this is a gifv and not a gif (which I manually changed it to), and Discourse doesn’t support gifv. If you want webm, I would recommend uploading to GfyCat and pasting its normal page (not video link) here as Discourse has custom embeds for GfyCat.
