Hello,
I have been working on many projects but I got so frustrated when I finish all of those vehicles and never able to export them to roblox studio, because of the limit that roblox gives or it’s just like big effort to do that sometimes take like 20-40 minutes I had a tip before for those things and it was selecting specifically a part of model according to the color or material but I really would love to know if there a quick way to export models to roblox,
here’s last project that I wanted to take it to roblox studio but it was above the limit and I don’t know how to split it or smth
Instead of splitting your meshes (which is a really bad thing to do) you should always, always look for ways to reduce tri count. I guarantee there are unnecessary tris you can remove or geometry you can simplify.
Never split your meshes unless you really know exactly what you’re doing and why - and never for the purpose to circumvent tri limits
Ah thank you! Are there any tools for this that you would recommend? Also just nice to see a fellow developer from Toronto, on that note, I’m surprised roblox gives your location to the public, I suppose it’s just the city!
In Blender, there is a modifier called “Decimate”. You can use this to lower the poly/tri count via that model. Do note that the more you decimate something, or when something loses a lot of tris from its original form, it can mess up the topology. With this being said, make sure this is the final resort/last step in your model making run-go.
Hope this helps.
Like seb said decimate is the best tool to do that but also the remesh modifier could help you.
