How to find players?

I’ve made a game and I want to find players for it. I don’t have any robux for advertising, or any ideas for social media. Can you give me tips for finding an audience? or at least how to improve the game

Well your only bet is advertising with ads or social media, theres no real way to advertise without these.

You can try going to small streamers and ask to play your game, other than that, im not sure what you can do.

I’d recommend looking for ideas for social media, if you don’t have any players then focusing on improving the game won’t really help until you get a few players

Overall, the game looks great! I’ve got a few suggestions that I think could make the game even better:

  • I think you should capitalize the “wins” and “aura” leaderstats to make them look more polished.
  • I would recommend having a more professional-looking avatar because, in the version history, it looks a little weird and out of place.
  • Adding a FOV changer would be a nice feature so players can adjust their field of view for a better experience.
  • Being able to buy cosmetics like halos (or similar items) with aura would be a really nice addition and give players something to grind for.
  • A “Meet the Owner” badge would be a fun idea and give players an extra collectible when they meet you in-game.
  • Adding an auto-respawn gamepass could be a good way to add some extra monetization while giving players a convenience feature.
  • A VIP gamepass with perks like a VIP halo (if you add halos) and access to a VIP lounge would be a great way to reward dedicated players and add more exclusivity to the game.
  • If you do add halos, I think the top 3 players on the win leaderboard should get an exclusive halo.

These are just some ideas I think could improve the game and add more fun for players.

They did ask how to find players not how the game is, but it’s alright.

I would say if you have no robux, then your only option is social media or collaborating with small creators (twitch, youtube etc). That is how most devs do it.

I interpreted it as them asking for some feedback.

Yes, it’s true. Initially, it was created for myself And I want to have a good project

I quite like the concept of this game since you’re the only person I remember who has made each obstacle have random properties instead of just having the game put premade chunks in order. I was thinking of doing this a while ago but I think you’ve done a pretty good job of it.

One thing I’d suggest doing to improve the game’s appeal is to change the visuals, since right now it kind of looks like a tech demo. Change the colours and materials of the platforms and maybe add background scenery to give the player something to look at. Perhaps the visual theme of each obby could be randomly selected.

Lastly, you’ll just have to keep in mind the difficulty of your obby when marketing it to an audience. For example, with all of the lasers and disappearing and rotating blocks, it’s probably too difficult to appeal to a player who would like those Mega Fun Obby games but it might appeal to someone more seriously interested in parkour.
