Iâm guessing pivot points are the issue. Could be wrong. I canât open studio right now.
Okay so basically 2 things
This is how it looks when you go into âedit pivot modeâ
See the model for yourself
Under a tab at the top of studio, I believe you can select local or world position. Maybe under model tab.
Please open roblox studio so you can properly assist me.
I think you are reffering to allign tool but I cant do anything with it:
You can scale the model by holding shift with the normal selection and can move the model with the Building Tools by F3X plugin:
Maybe @Crazedbrick1 knows a better solution. I donât use Robloxâs building tools much.
This is just a result of how union operations work. If you separate the union and select the parts of the union in a different order it may resolve your issue. I canât remember if its the first or last thing you select that is important but one of them determines the alignment after the union operation.
Hello I want to increase only the Y axis size of it so that I can make a tall window
this bug by roblox needs to be adressed.
Youâre looking to edit Pivot points. Go to Model tab and youâll see something called âEdit Pivotâ, with the model selected, click on it and rotate the thing around. Cheers!
Okay I did that however look
Can you send me a file of that specific union that you are having problems with?
I posted a link for it above however I will post it again
Thank you for helping me <3
thatâs because roblox unions scale differently now, which is why itâs not the best idea to use unions. I found that if you group it into a model, take a part and put it in the middle of it, then you make said part the modelâs primary part, it sort of fixes it.
(it scales from all sides like old unions used to.)
I know this doesnât exactly solve your problem, but do you have to use a union here? itâs generally a bad practice to use them if you donât need to.
Unions are extremely good practice because they look amazing.
This would not be possible without unions
Try to use f3x building tools plugin
I solved the problem for you. The reason you were having problems is because you were not selecting the parts in order when unioning. I added a video below showing how you did it and the correct way to do it. (forgive the potato quality lol)
