How to fix my collision issues?

i do not usually do a building support thing because i am usually fine and learn on my own but for this i have no clue.

I am having a bit trouble using meshpart with my road mesh it seems to be not accurate enough and i do not use that much tris. anyone know a solution to this. adding bounding parts underneath the road would be too complex if did on a map and at that point why not just make the roads out of bricks but then performance would go down and also i could use surface appearance on meshes.!

the current Collision Fidelity is PreciseConvexPosition.

Let me get this straight. Are you trying to make your road more detailed?

no not exactly. the reason i was wanting to use this was because of performance mostly and i need it to be accurate because its a thing that the players will be driving on. the benifit is surface appearance but that is not the goal here. essentially if i use mesh i only need to use one face than every face of a brick.

So what is your question exactly?

His question is why the character is floating.

is there a way for me to get the hit collision to work properly being true to the mesh is what im saying.

What is the mesh id? I can test it in studio as it is hard to figure out how to fix your problem.

This is the mesh ID i hope this works. i might just have to get a pane and put it on bricks instead wich isnt ideal for making roads.

Give me a few minutes. 30 chars.

Hmm. It is working fine for me.

Im able to walk on it but when i look at it from side its floating and i can see it when a vehicle is ontop also. im unsure how yours is working better than mine is. any ideas?

What if you set CollisionFilelity to Default?

Hold up, im gonna uncopylock my place for you.

I hope that works. 30 characters.

Sadly its the same when you make it bigger it has same problem. 30 Chars

If you dont find any solution try doing this:

For the next step you will need this plugin:

  • Then open the plugin and select One Stud:

  • Next, click on an edge of a part, a red arrow must appear, then click on an edge of another part.

  • A part will be created, make this process with all the parts, for me this is the result:

  • Then group everything, anchor and edit it as you want!

I’m sorry I didn’t say I found a solution but it took me until last month to figure out the issue. In blender make 2 loop cuts in middle of road and what I used was use a plugin called obj collision gen OBJ Collision Gen - Roblox
