How to Fork The Chat

This is a pretty easy thing to do but i have not seen anything about it on this page.

So, you want to fork the chat script so you can patch it yourself instead of waiting for roblox to update it for you? Well follow this and you should be able to do it.

Steps:

Step 1

Step 1, Go into a place on studio (i will use my game for this.) And Press Play

Step 2

Step 2, Find The Chat Service and expand it

Step 3

Step 3, Select And Copy The Content

Step 4

Step 4, Quit Testing (Shift + F5) And Paste Into The Chat Object

Note: DO NOT DISABLE Chat.LoadDefaultChat as your fork will not work

Now You Can Edit All Of The Scripts To Your Liking (Remember To Not Break Any Rules such as blocking the chat filter)
