So for the past few months I have been designing this really cool game. Here is the link: Immune System Fighting Simulator - Roblox. I think it would be a perfect candidate for the “Learn & Explore” category. The problem is, I don’t have 15 concurrent players.
Game’s content is primarily educational.
Has a “like” ratio above 50%.
Maintains at least one week of 15 concurrent players.
Most people who play my game liked it. So that means I don’t at least repel players. I am just asking how to gain traction. Also, I do not have any Robux at all. Am I doomed to fail because I have no robux? (The financial situation this year has not been looking great for us). I heard you can get youtubers or investors to help you, but I don’t know where they are. I think 15 users is acheivable but nobody is aware of this game. You can see for yourself.
Assuming he is poor which might be the case he would need a different opportunity, also @bootsareme, you could try adding “game tags”, it becomes slightly faster to find games when you give tags, if someone searches up, lets say “cool game” and you spammed like 30 of those on your game, they might just find it
Like youtube, they allow you to have tags, basically things people would search up, the description section of a game does too make it easier to find a certain game from searching it up, although you would need a few good developer friends to help sponsor you
A really cool game and then he links a simulator…
Just kidding! I’m surprised “Immune system fighting simulator” is allowed during a pandemic, even if it is unrelated.
When asking for feedback from your game, take it always with a grain of salt. Players jump on somewhat of a clout train when talking to a developer or creator and give them false positives such as “great game, no flaws!”, seeking rewards or praise for their praise.
You are absolutely not doomed. Investors can be found on the hidden developer discord (they’re not allowed here) and if your game is of quality, I’m sure you can take commissions for your trade. A week or two of commissions and you should have a decent amount for SOME ads while you still work on your game and improve it as much as you can.
You can hire youtubers to play and advertise your game, though I’m not sure where. Probably somewhere like fiverr.
@greatneil80 ? well by this logic you can tell a poor person to just get rich and buy a house. It doesn’t work this way unfortunately. @bootsareme alternatively, you can get hired at a tech support company taking calls or even do something like fill out surverys for some money. Whatever is best for you! I will play your game tomorrow.
Thank you for your feedback. I realized some people are being polite, but other people are genuinely interested, they are on for hours at a time, but the problem is its only 1 or 2 concurrent players.
I can’t speak from own experience directly, but if you’re looking to build a community that holds a genuine interest for your game then I’d suggest you post about your game on Reddit. I’ve seen a Discord server grow from just a few users to over 500 members in the span of a few months purely from using this method (and without spending a dime). They’d post to the roblox and robloxgamedev subreddits and they’d hit trending every time since they made a quality product that caught people’s attention.
Game is pretty nice… I think it’ll be a bit harder for you to gain attraction for your game if it’s about pathogens and stuff. Most children wouldn’t understand and wouldn’t want to play.
I even struggled to play your game and it didn’t feel super fun.
Try to work on it more
I didn’t read it the first time, rejoined and read it. maybe it’s too early but I still struggled to see what was happening. Also, your UI could be better
Thanks for the feedback. I guess we are trying to go down the path of lua learning because that game is also very hard to grasp because its mainly specific for people who are passionate at coding.
