How To Get Consecutive Players?

Hey, I have a game (not finished):

I know that a lot of developers have chosen to sponsor or advertise their experience on Roblox. This method might bring in consecutive players, but it can also fail in doing so.

I was wondering if You have a better alternative. For gathering consecutive players to be precise, since my game can not run without them.

Giving players something to do while waiting for more to join would be a good start I’d say. If they’re just standing around waiting for players to join, they’re more likely to get bored and leave.

I agree with WrollingYou but also, make sure you limit the amount of days your ad/sponsor goes through. As tempting as it is to make it last longer so you know that there is still more new players to come, you are going to need a lot of players at one time. So that the people who do join enjoy themselves and come back to the game. Then their friends will join them too, expanding on your consecutive players.

As for suggestions for a specific game, you should put this topic in #help-and-feedback:game-design-support, since it’s not a subject that can be applied elsewhere.

When it comes to promoting your game, advertisements, whether classical or sponsorships, always have an impact. While they may not always achieve your desired results, they are still crucial to the success of your game. Even if you decide not to use Roblox’s advertisement system, you will still need to advertise on platforms like Google Ads, YouTube, or social media. The only way to attract new players to your game is by getting a substantial amount of people to see and click on your ads. Unfortunately, there are no other viable alternatives.

That is a great idea. What if I changed it up a bit and removed the waiting altogether? I think it could be somewhat engaging to run around collecting coins and buying better gear while waiting for players to join.

Thanks, I have been thinking about doing that. The problem I currently have is that my current budget might not be enough to attract consecutive players.

Moved the topic…

Seems reasonable that it is the only way.

I mean it depends, What is your budget?

Definitely would suggest that! The more engaging / fun your game is, the more players will stick around and invite others to play.

At the current state my funds are way below the 5k :robux_gold: mark. Do You how much people are usually bidding (on sponsors)?

I spent 10,000 robux once on a sponsor, got like 50 concurrent players. I’m about to spend probably somewhere in the range of 40,000-80,000 Robux on the game I’m working on right now.

If you check the game “Flying Simulator” on my FuneeFeed account, it’s a low-quality game as I no joke made it with my friend for a 6 hour development challenge (added like a couple updates that took me like 20 minutes) It got 50 constant players from just a 10,000 robux sponsor because it was replayable and it wasn’t a good game at all.

If you check out Life Imprisoned which is probably a bit better than Flying Simulator on the same account, but it isn’t that replayable, It got like 20-30 players for like a couple days.

I’m spending serious robux on the game I’m currently working on because this is the first time I actually tried on a roblox game. I only used roblox for commissions and mini-projects up to this point.
