How to get rid of backround for decal?

I’m trying to make a text sign image for my tools so that you can see the image on the tool hotbar rather than just text.

Example of what I want to achieve:

Images/boombox logo - Creator Store

What I end up with:

I’ve used adobe to remove the backround, and it worked. The backround was completely clear, but for some reason, on the roblox decal it automatically sets it to a white backround. I’ve also tried using a black backround but then it also doesn’t blend well…

What is the image background transparency set to?

I don’t know how to set it on the roblox settings but I remember on adobe all I did was click the clear backround button and it cleared the backround of the image.

I should of asked this but how are placing the image in studio? inside of a frame? the texture id on the tool itself?

Yes the texture ID on the tool itself.

The boombox logo you can see in the hotbar is what I want, the other images though are mine I made myself but obviously you can see their backround. The one with a white backround had no backround color in adobe and the one with a black backround was intentional to try and blend it in with other colors but it didnt work.

If its the tool texture ID then its the image itself. I don’t use adobe so im not sure but it sounds like the picture is generating the white background after export. i use Upload Image – remove.bg to remove backgrounds from my images and it works pretty good.

Thanks it worked, one more question. What pixel size would be best for these tool images? Becuase it kinda looks small.

I believe you would have to resize it in adobe to around 512x512. I’m not sure though.

It’s fine I got it in the right size anyway thanks for everything
