Hi guys, I would just like to ask how new games with 0 promotion (eg. Adverts, social media) make it onto the YouTube homepage. I just released a new game and Im really hoping to get more players organically without pushing advertisements. The games a simulator so it’ll hook players for longer!
I am not quite sure if I understand what you mean by getting it onto the YouTube homepage, but I know that if you’d like it on the Roblox Discover page, you would consider sponsoring it instead of advertising it. It’s still a type of advertising, but usually works better.
There will be less possibility to attract players to join a game without advertisements, many developers work very hard for the game but without advertisements and no one join. You can see alot of games are worst, but still they attract a lot of players to join because of a ton of ads. Basically, a game is a kind of business that requires packaging, advertisement, etc.
advertise it until it gets over 1k+ players and sponsor it too.
Do you mean 1000 concurrent players? I mean, that’s really hard to get. It usually requires sponsoring before you get to around 200-500.
i never advertised and sponsored before so my bad so i guess you need to sponsor a lot and advertise a lot too
Well yea, but it very much depends on if you see potential in the game. I mean, don’t sponsor it if you got 0 current players. But if you got a few already playing it, which consistently come back playing you could consider sponsoring it.
