What mode do i need to be in? this is my first time using blender.
You have to be on edit mode in order to press shift + n.
I believe he is using 2.8, and that video used 2.7. So, it might be harder for him since it’s his first time using blender.
I don’t even know how you got 5k tris! I only have 1k tris max.
That did not work sadly but thanks!
Yeah i’m using 2.8 i do think that is 2.7…
If none of the replies are helping you, I suggest you file a bug report on #platform-feedback:studio-bugs
I just might not know how to import it properly.
You are importing it correctly, it’s a bug from what I can see.
I had the same issue, I re imported. But yes, I think this is a bug.
Is nobody going to ask what the name of the file is?
That’s almost definitely the issue as the default Meshpart stays the same and there’s no feedback on why the mesh failed to upload (all other failures have a pop-up window). Try renaming the file name and try again.
Edit: I saw from the OP that the file name is Grass01, which I know from experience is a filtered word (stupid, I know). Change the name to “Plant01” or something.
It’s so common that I’ve made a feature request for it:
I Renamed it hello still did not work, like @Cinema_Sin said it could be a bug.
Rename it to Meshpart01, if that still doesn’t work, send me the .obj file. I very much doubt it’s a bug.
Personally I use .obj files instead of .fbx files. I import my meshes by inserting a MeshPart, going into the properties of MeshPart, and opening the Mesh + Texture from my desktop
Thats what i’m doing its not working sadly…
Can you send me the .obj file or the blend file?
Still did not work i think its a bug cuz it can’t be the tris thats under 200
Crap its broken ill fix it later this “glich” might just be with me.
