How to improve cartoony volcano area

I’m trying to get a better volcano area as it looks a bit bland at the moment

I have reached out to friends as well on feedback.

Maybe add lava coming down from the sides of the volcanoes, and make the color similar with the lava on the terrain.

A good idea might be to tint the water around the volcano to a more orange tint. Making the terrain more fitting to the actual volcano would also look good. The “Active Lava Zone” from subnautica could be a good reference for underwater volcanoes done right.
