How to install Carbon Engine

Hello, I’m somewhat new to Roblox DevForum but i got a request to do a small tutorial here about the weapons system

Carbon Engine made by @TridentXR

This is primarily Aimed for newer members of development and is probably not for more experienced developers

Alright, Lets start!

  1. First for people new, if you cant find Explorer, a essential tool in this tutorial, its located in View (See Picture)

  1. After that go to plugins, if you do not have the carbon engine plugin yet you can install it here

  2. Find this icon in plugins

Where Plugins is

  1. A GUI will pop up and the first thing you got to do is click: “Install” click it and your done!

  2. if you cant download it normally use the insert CE model and do everything

  3. (optional) if you want to find how to configure your guns stats go to explorer and search CConfig!

Is there any way to obtain and unobfuscated version of this weapon system? It seems very good and optimized but obfuscated code can yield a big security risk especially if you don’t know whats running or how the networking is being handled. If this was a secure system to use i feel as if the code would be open sourced and unobfuscated for the developer.

Probably, but the model version is here without the need of a plugin Here its the least confusing and its the most unproblematic except if you are a dummy

There is not. I do not want others taking and using my code for themselves anymore. I did once, and they took all the credit away from me and got my account banned because ROBLOX took their word over mine. So for this reason, I always protect my code, in fact I’m going to be making obfuscation more intense. It will crash your clients upon trying to open the scripts.

DO NOT USE THE MODEL! THE MODEL IS NOT EVEN UPDATED! Using the model is very dangerous, Especially since that isn’t the model I released! That could have tons of backdoors inside of it. Do not use any model or plugin that is not created by my CarbonFiber09 account.

This will really be a big stopper for me, I disable the linter and type checker on your scripts because they spout out so many warnings, could you have it default to disable linter and type checker

--!nocheck

like so.
over 1000 warnings without these.
