How to make a beat for you game! (5 steps)

Since people seemed to enjoy my last tutorial using SoundTrap so I have decided to make another one!
This tutorial will teach you how to make a trap beat for you game in 5 steps!
What You Will Need

  • A SoundTrap Account
  • Internet Connection
  • 10-20 Minutes

Step #1: Get on SoundTrap.

You should be on a screen that looks similar to this. You will need to create an account and/or login.

Step #2: Add synth.

You are going to want to find a synth for your beat. To find your synth go to the loop section, select Synth and then select Hip-Hop. I chose the synth called “Bell Me Up” but any Hip-Hop synth would work. After you choose your synth, drag it out 4 bars.
This is what mine sounds like so far:

Step #3: Add a drum beat and siren and synth drop.

Now you are going to add the drum beat. I chose the drum beat called “Beanie - Beat 3 (Kick & Snare)” drag that out another 4 bars along with the synth. Then you want to add a siren. To give your beat a hood feel. Use the “Synth - Slow Siren” and drag it out the first 4 bars. And lastly you want to add a synth drop. SoundTrap has a per-made synth drop in their loop section called SFX - Synth Drop. I used that and dragged it to fit into the last bar before the beat drop.

Step #4: Drag change up synth and drums, and fade out the song.

Time to slow down the beat. Go to the loop section and find the synth called “Bellish” add that and drag it out for 4 bars. Then add the drum beat. “Beanie - Beat 3 (HiHat)” drag that out for 4 bars also. After 4 bars add the original drums and synth back. Then fade them out. And boom there you go you have an epic trap beat for your game.
Here is what mine sounds like:

Step #5: Save, Mix, Share!

Congrats you finished the tutorial. Now all you need to do is hit save. Wait for the song to mix, and then download it! Hope this tutorial helps some people make some epic music. Please let me know if I should make more tutorials, and even maybe make more advanced tutorials for SoundTrap.
As always thanks for reading!

Helps a bunch! I used this to give me a rough idea on what to do and I rejoined the composers group! This is what I made:

Edit: Already finished my 2nd one - soundtrap is a great, easy to use website.

That goes hard ngl. It’s just fire.

That sounds really good! Keep up the good work. It is great to hear that Roblox got another composer since we are a very small breed of people.

Thanks! Yeah we need more people learning how to compose - it’s a really important skill in my opinion - for if you want to have fun or do it for money. Many composers become rich (I hope I do) - take Marshmello for example - he never uses his voice. You don’t need to sing to make music.

I think you should make an advanced tutorial on an advanced audio workstation like Fl Studio (since people can use a free trial verison and its pretty good). I would not be interested in how to use Fl Studio (controls/hotkeys/setup) but to compose good music on a professional workstation like that.

Me? Uhh I know I can get a free trial but it all just looks hard to use.

(The reason I suggested was because) I wouldn’t want people to always make music on Garageband since the quality of music made on there is never that good (in my opinion) and it’s treated like a music composing playground or beginners thing, which is why I think you should try out some advanced audio workstations. You don’t have to of course, just my suggestion, many professionals use Fl Studio.

I don’t use garageband personally. It’s overrated. Not everyone has apple devices anyways.

This is great, thank you for this! I was looking for a while now trying to find somewhere to make some in game music.
