When you use the gapfill plugin on a part it makes a smooth staircase so how could I use the gapfill on a cylinder to make it a smooth round staircase
be more specific: please include the kind of staircase you wish to replicate.
You know how when you use the gapfill plugin on a part and it turns it into a wedge
you mean this?
Yeah but instead make it a cylinder so it’s round
honestly i would personally use blender. it can prevent a lot of lag. its what i used to make spiral staircases if thats what you were looking for
You mean a spiral staircase?
I’ve done it by using 2 equal wedges back to back (for example 2x1x8).
Put them back to back to make an equilateral triangle (like the letter V).
Edit the Pivot position to the sharp point of the V.
Now select both wedges and copy them.
Rotate them around the pivot point until the stair edges match.
Move the copied ones up 1 stud, now you’ve got the second step.
Keep copying, raising and rotating the steps.
Can u show me a picture of what ur telling me so I can confirm
That’s not what I am talking about but what I am trying to say is that when u gapfill a part u make a wedge out of it so it’s clinbable and I basically want that but round like a cylinder
You need to be more specific. It would help if you described something in real life, or provided a picture of what you are trying to copy. Most of us know what the GapFill plugin does, but it’s hard to tell from your description exactly how we can imagine what you describe.
Here’s a screenshot of some items I put together.
The spiral stairs on the left are just 2 wedgeparts and then I rotated each around it’s pointed end by 30 degrees.
The ramp on the right is created by rotating the red ‘steps’ by 30 degrees around the cylinder, then using gapfill to create wedged ramps from each step to the next.
Here’s the file of the 2 items. If you click on each of the step Parts you’ll see that I moved the PivotPoint on them so they rotate around the center point of the stairs.

I guess I can also put a link to my space station game. I have a large spiral ramp tube leading up to the top level. Space Station - Roblox
To do this you have two options: either you can use Blender and create a mesh or else you can use Roblox inbuilt feature Unions.
If this is what you are looking for this is how I created it

To understand further Unions I would recommend you to watch tutorials like this
Basically the staircase on the right but bit going up or down
The 4 red steps on the right are 1 stud high and each step is 1 stud higher.
If you use the file linked at the bottom you’ll see that you can make it spiral up as high as you need it.
Another way of doing it would be to create the one step & ramp, then copy it, raise it 1 stud, and use something like Studio Build Suite plugin by Fractality which lets you take a Model or group of Parts and pivot it around a selected Part like the gray cylinder by however many degrees you want to.
