How to make a neck for this creature?

Hey everyone, im making an evolution for a creature that i made:

But i don’t know how to make a neck for it (i mean the shape of the neck)

Here is what i made so far:

Do you have a way to make a neck for it?
Also if you want, you can say me what decoration i can add to the body, because i don’t know what more to add it.

EDIT NOTE: Im trying to get a steampunk style, also i don’t want to make a very long neck

if I were you I use “silinder and sphere” to make the neck smooth and clean

Can’t tell, but it somehow reminds me of a loch ness creature. Maybe make the neck bendy, and instead of horizontally, make it on top of the body.(I seriously can’t explain the exact details, but sort of the neck type a giraffe or one of those humongous plant eating dinosaurs would have)
