How to make a room feel complex and seamless with limited amount of space?

Okay, I know the topic look a little cheesy and stupid, but look at this:

What I made:

In the first picture, the space felt unlimited and larger than it actually is, unlike mine. Is this a result of intentional camera and editing works and how can I get as close to that at possible? Thank you.

Have you tried making the tanks smaller or aligning them so the long side is parallel to the wall and beside them?

I guess I will try if it helps me to recreate the effect.

The first shot has shallow depth of field… you can play with the depth of field values in studio as well (picture is example, the values are random):

Add some intricate details to make the room more interesting, try adding just a tad of DepthOfField to help the viewer focus on the main scene, and maybe light the walls with slight variation. Objects within the scene could also use a little variety, some objects feel a bit off because they’re so similar - also consider altering the lengths of the pipes.
